Over the years it improved its research, specializing in putties, primers, varnishes and waxes also for carcare and boatcare, for professional use and for do-it-yourself. Renato Borricelli, began his career at SAM abrasivi covering a commercial role within the company. With his technical studies and his vocation to the ingenuity of new production processes, SAM Abrasivi chose him as Technical Director with the birth of the company's first production product. Initially the first products were dedicated to the abrasive sector. His intuition in the sector helped him to perceive that the market required new types of products. Thus, the first “IL JOLLY” marble mastic was created. His entrepreneurial desire and growth led him to create a subsidiary with the owner of SAM ABRASIVI, Mr. Franco Cutrignelli. It is from this important and significant collaboration that ILPA ADESIVI came to life. Initially the production was focused only on mastics for marble but the continuous desire for innovation and growth pushed to implement the range of products for the marble sector with the introduction of waxes, resins and water-based products. The success of the market matches the inalienable desire for technological extension in production with the inauguration of two new product lines dedicated to bodywork and boating. With this philosophy, a real corporate identity was created in over 50 countries around the world associated with Made in Italy and the search for continuous improvement of the production process. The constant study of raw materials and market needs have led ILPA to continue investing in research, implementing two internal laboratories, capable of designing and testing new products, while maintaining company objectives and standards. In 2011, the need for the creation of a board of directors arose within ILPA ADESIVI, therefore the role of Sole Director passed to his son Amedeo Borricelli as CEO. With this decision, the Board of Directors proudly and honorably appointed Renato Borricelli as President of ILPA ADESIVI, a figure he covered in 2019 with a great entrepreneurial spirit and an enormous propensity for change while remaining faithful to the ILPA ADESIVI soul.

In July 2011, the Board of Directors asked his father Renato Borricelli to take over, holding the position of Chief Executive Officer. His goal in the company was clear right from the start, that of relaunching the company towards higher and more ambitious goals starting from a very positive basic situation. From the start, there was a total commercial reorganization with the aim of addressing new foreign markets that had never been taken into consideration until then. During this reorganization phase, there was no lack of a technical and structural restyling of the company and then arriving in 2015. 2015, for ILPA ADESIVI is considered as the zero date of a new reality. The zero point marks the beginning of a phase that ILPA ADESIVI had never had, the beginning of new awareness for new objectives, so the "general automation of the company" project was started within the ILPA ADESIVI structures with a cost of 2 million euros. The attention to the best available technology and the continuous improvement of environmental performance were also aimed at the ecological compatibility of the production processes and products that led the company to present new types of products with a low corporate impact. With this innovative capacity, A. Borricelli strongly wanted to believe in the continuous investment dedicated to laboratory research, strengthening a strictly Italian know-how, thus giving ILPA ADESIVI an international and highly professional appeal. His prospects as Chief Executive Officer continue to be enriched with the desire for growth in increasingly expanded production capacities. In 2019 the prospects are confirmed with the purchase of three new machines dedicated to the immediate development of production capacity. In January 2019 Amedeo Borricelli was appointed CONFINDUSTRIA BARI-BAT President of the chemical section with objectives of great awareness for the protection of the environment and for "green chemistry".
The company stands out for its continuous technological implementation and improvement of environmental performance, aimed at creating products with low environmental impact without styrene. This is why it has two chemical laboratories, where new products are checked and over 500 formulas tested.
